| Directions to Rancho Los Amigos Equestrian Center From I-5 headed North: Take the Manchester Exit east. Just past the Greek Church (it has a striking gold dome), turn right at the light to stay on Manchester, and follow the winding two lane road to another light where Manchester intersects Encinitas Boulevard. It becomes Rancho Santa Fe Road at this point. Keep going straight and follow it through several stop signs until you get to Lone Jack Road. Turn right on Lone Jack Road and follow it for roughly 1 mile, then turn right onto Camino del Rancho (on the sign, the "Camino" is small, and it looks like "del Rancho"). Follow it around to your right, and stay right until you get to the end of the cul de sac. Turn into the driveway at the end on the left. That's us. If you have a trailer, use the first driveway (the one before the cul de sac--watch for the sign! It is just past the vacant field. If you miss it, it's easy to turn around in the cul de sac and go back to it). From I-5 headed South: Take the Leucadia Blvd exit east, and follow it across El Camino Real (it changes names there to Olivenhain Road--don't worry about that). Several blocks after, you will see a small one-way street that goes straight while the main road goes slightly left. Go straight on the small street. (It's just a by-pass that is an easier turn). Turn right at the end of it onto Rancho Santa Fe Road and follow it through several stop signs until you get to Lone Jack Road. At Lone Jack Road, turn left and follow it for roughly 1 mile, then turn right onto Camino del Rancho (on the sign, the "Camino" is small, and it looks like "del Rancho"). (If you miss the tiny street, then you will want to go right when Olivenhain Road intersects with Rancho Santa Fe Road--there is a light at that intersection. It is a sharp right hand turn. If you do not make that turn, then Olivenhain Road turns into Rancho Santa Fe Road and you will be going the wrong way on it.) From I-15 headed South: Take the 78 Freeway West, and exit at Rancho Santa Fe Road. Cross under the freeway, and continue south for roughly 5 1/2 miles, turning left again just past Calle Barcelona TO STAY ON RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD. Continue on Rancho Santa Fe Road another 1 1/2 miles, before coming to a 4-way stop at the intersection of Lone Jack Road. Turn left onto Lone Jack Road and follow it for roughly 1 mile, then turn right onto Camino del Rancho (on the sign, the "Camino" is small, and it looks like "del Rancho"). From I-15 headed North: Take Via Rancho Parkway West, following it until it reaches a T-intersection at the Del Dios Highway. Turn Left on Del Dios and follow it past the Lake and through newer developments until you reach Camino del Norte (you will see a beautiful farm on the right first with avocado orchards and a pond first). Turn right on Camino del Norte and follow it as it winds around until you reach Rancho Santa Fe Road (it ends there). At Rancho Santa Fe Road, turn right, and at the next stop sign, turn right again onto Lone Jack Road. Follow Lone Jack Road for roughly 1 mile, then turn right onto Camino del Rancho (on the sign, the "Camino" is small, and it looks like "del Rancho"). |
