Photo's of Herzberg's Ancestors
Herzberg's sire, the Elite Stallion Leonardo, was known as a highly elegant sire of worthy riding horses with especially good and active gaits. A successful sire, his progency have done especially well in Dressage and Jumping competitions to the S-Level in Germany and in other countries, including the United States.
Leonardo's sire, Virgil, was Champion of the 1974 Neumünster Approvals and Champion of his Performance Test at Klosterhof Medingen in 1975. Germany's Zuchtleiter describes Virgil as " A very elegant and modern true to type Trakehner with lovely facial features, and harmonious throughout his body.Especially good in his neck, withers,shoulder, and topline. Spectacular movement."
Herzberg's dam Hetra, an elegant and typey Trakehner mare with strong sporthorse features additionally brings such legendary blood as Persaldo and Hessenstein.
Ordensglanz was a stallion with lots of chic and charm. Pretty face, nicely formed neck, bold sloping shoulder allowing for good freedom, very harmonious conformation and a very correct foundation.
