Pik's Pride's sire, Pik
Noir, is an imposing and highly ranked
black stallion, and was Reserve Champion of the Oldenburger Stallion
Grading in 1991. He hypnotized observers with his incredibly powerful
and elevated movement, and left behind a majestic impression.
Pik Noir's sire, Pik Bube, was himself a genius on the international dressage scene with a series of overwhelming successes. He's also well known as the sire of many licensed and proven young stallions, and it is through him that the grandiose thoroughbred blood of Pik As XX exerts much of its influence.
Pik Noir's dam's sire, the shiny black stallion, Wanderfalk, was
the winner of multiple advanced jumping competitions and brings
a special sportier appearance to the line. Celle's State Stallion,
Windhuk, was the sire of Pik Noir's grand-dam, and made a name
for himself by producing medium-sized, remarkably elegant sport
horses.
In his first year at stud, Pik Noir produced 1 licensed stallion
and 2 State's Premium mares. He also produced the winner of the
3 year-old class in Rastede 1998 and had many other youngsters
participating. Pik Noir's youngsters are known for their incredible
rideability and elegance under saddle, and German Dressage's Pik's
Pride is no exception.
