Pik's Pride

Pik's Pride, the impressive black Oldenburg stallion is known mostly for his rideability and powerful, elevated movement. Pik's Pride descends from the legendary bloodline of Pik Noir, Pik Bube, and Pik Konig, all known for their rideability and versatility. Pik Bube is the most famous son of the Cellar Landgestut stallion Pik Konig. With 11 wins out of 12 starts, Pik Bube made his debut in S-Dressur with rider Hebert Rehbein. Pik Bube has produced 28 licensed sons to date. Pik's sire, Pik Noir, proved himself with 5 licensed sons and multiple state premium mares. Pik Noir's offspring are highly sought after and paid for. In 2000, a son of Pik Noir sold for 450,000 DM at the P.S.I. Auction in Ankum, Germany. Pik's Pride's dams sire Barsoi xx was a strong producer of versatile sporthorses that went on to compete internationally in both Eventing and Dressage. Barsoi xx brings elegance, willpower and hardiness to this great pedigree combination.

Pik's Pride was first licensed in Aachen, Germany. He then went on to successfully pass his 100 day test at the Landgestut Zeibrucken, receiving a 10 for character, and 9's for trot, canter and rideability. In the competition ring, Pik's Pride won most all of his Materiale Classes in Germany with scores up to 89%. In the United States, Pik's Pride continued his success by winning the FEI 5 Year Old Young Horse Class at the Del Mar National Horse Show CDI*** and winning the Reserve Champion at the FEI 5 Year Old Young Horse West Coast Regional Finals. In 2001 Pik's Pride was ranked 3rd overall in the United States by USET for 5 year olds. He again drew attention in 2002 where he was Reserve Champion at the Del Mar National Horse Show CDI*** for 6 Year Old Young Horses.
